With a highly anticipated movie coming in December and another one hitting theaters early next year, Beyoncé will be busy for a good while. But the songstress continues to not know the meaning of the word "rest" as she admitted to recording more than 70 songs for her forthcoming album in an effort to create "a sound that reveals all of me."
"I am in a different place right now and I wanted people to see the many sides of me," the 27-year-old diva wrote in a post on her official website about the album, which comes out Nov. 18.
While people can get a preview of those sides with B's newly released singles, "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies," everyone is still curious about her marriage to Jay-Z. Fortunately, Essence magazine came to the rescue by getting Beyonce to drop details about the hush hush affair as well as her and Jigga's desire to maintain some type of privacy within their high profile lives.
As for the wedding, it turns that out that the event was, as Beyoncé put it, "very small and intimate." And while she sports a rock on her finger now, Mrs. Carter was adamant about not having an engagement ring as she opted to get matching tattoos with Jay of the Roman numeral four on their ring fingers to ensure that a mark of some form is there in case they have to remove their rings.
Considering that Beyoncé's birthday falls on Sept. 4 and Jigga's birthday is Dec. 4 and their wedding anniversary is April 4, I guess it's safe to say that the number 4 carries some weight. Let's hope that age 44 for Jay is not an omen for the couple's demise.
It looks like Lynne and 17-year old Jamie Lynn Spears may have some explaining to do. Again.
The National Enquirerreveals in a new report that a family member has confirmed that Jamie Lynn is preggers with baby #2.
The younger Spears' baby, Maddie, isn't even five months old!!!!
Unfortunately, the tabloid doesn't disclose in its report who the exact family member is! They didn't go "on the record."
If it's true, we disappointed in Jame Lynn Spears. She should know better than that! No, not the whole getting pregnant thing. We'd expect that from her. She's white trash!
Word has it in the papers that Stephane Dion, Liberal leader, has a good chance at winning this election. I am delighted, I saw him on CBC, an interview with Peter Mansbridge two days ago on the news, and I made the decision to vote for the Liberals. He had fielded a personal question on the program - Did he think that his difficulty with English has been a hindrance in his campaign? - so gracefully that I decided he's my man. He said in reply "My struggle with English pronunciation will be with me until the day I die, but in English or in French I will be the best choice for Canada in this election." Not a verbatim quote on my part here, but very close. I hope he wins with a majority government.
Here is another installment of "my thoughts". And today I am talking Edge. Edge is called The Rated R superstar, but does he really life up to that?
I think he does life up to that name, but just recently. When Edge became a main event star, he got called that name. I would say before that, he was never the Rated R superstar, but now he is. His character is so controversial. He does things that really is rated R. Now I have a bone to pick with WWE and the WWE audience.
First, I would like to start with the WWE. Edge has been in the WWE for around 15 years. With a decade and a half, he is a veteran. Anyway, WWE only made Edge a main event star just in 2005. That was only 3 years ago. 3 YEARS! Now I am glad he became a main event star in my era and when I was watching wrestling, but I am angry that he just got what he deserves a couple years back. Undertaker rose to main event status less than a year. Taker has been in the WWE for 18+ years. The Rock has become a main event star in less than a year. Why hasn't Edge gotten to that status in that time? Well I really don't know for sure, but it is really upsetting. I am glad that Edge hasn't become a main event star in less than a year or a couple years because during that time, he teamed up with his brother, Christian. They were tag team champs and became the biggest tag team in that era and had some of the best tag matches that anyone will ever see. But after that, he should have been the top star.
With that being said, I have a bone to pick with the WWE audience. Now many people are fans of Edge, myself included. I have seen fans that hate Edge. They say that he is the worst star ever and yada yada. They truly don't respect him. Some people can't stand him and they say he should be fired or leave. Now if you say that, you really don't know what you are talking about. The only reason why people say that is because they are into the storyline and character. They don't like his character because he is a heel, but if he was a baby face then everyone would cheer for him. I am personally fine with that. They can cheer for whoever they want. But they shouldn't go as far by saying he is the worst and he should be fired. People say they know so much about wrestling, and they say Edge is the worst and so on. They are just full of it. If they took a look at those ladder and TLC matches he was in with the hardy's and Dugley boys, then they would see how good he is. He entertained the fans like no other and really put on a show.
I have to say that Edge THE person who revolutionized the ladder match. He took it to incredible heights and no one could do what he could do in those ladder matches. He is simply the best in them and surely beats HBK, Jeff Hardy, Y2J and many, MANY others.
After that is out of my system, I want to share some information on what I think about Edge and not about WWE or the fans. I was never a real fan of Edge years ago. I saw him as a superstar. I never saw him good. I liked him in matches, but never really appreciated it. When he won the world title for the first time in 2005, I thought he would be a terrible champion and really couldn't do anything. I was wrong. The storyline where I saw him as great was the Vickie, Edge, and Undertaker storyline that happened this past year. I recently got "The Ladder Match" DVD. I watched quite a few of matches on there. I saw matches of Edge and I realized what he has done for WWE and what he has been through. Seeing that, I am just surprised that he wasn't a major champion before. Even though I see Edge as a veteran, I see him winning many more major titles. He could win tag titles, US titles, and the WWE title. I don't see him mush going to fight for the US title or Intercontinental title. He is a main event caliber star and if he did face for the US title, I would be extremely upset and I would think that would be a disgrace. I am really getting to like Edge now. I can't wait until he comes back. He is getting to be a star that is in controversial storylines. I think Edge is one of the best, or THE best, performer in WWE history. I say performer because he really was in great matches and did some great moves in them. One that I will never forget is Edge spearing Jeff Hardy on a ladder while Jeff was hanging off the title. Like I say performer and not wrestler because he really made people show their emotions. Either by making the fans dumbfounded with his moves, or making us upset with staying with Vickie or Lita, or even making us cheer by cheating on Vickie.
Bottom line, Edge is one of the best there is and I don't think people realize it. I am trying to get across what Edge has done. Just like me, I want people to see Edge's talent. I am mad that I didn't see it sooner and mad because he didn't become a main event star earlier. I am happy that I see Edge's talent now and that he become a main star in my era. Keep going Edge and continue to make my proud by being the most UNRECONGIZED star in WWE history! That is all for "my thoughts" for now but please check back to my others and wait to see my others coming soon. If you have any suggestions for a future "My thoughts" blog, then feel free to message me. Anyway that is my thoughts on this topic, but what are yours? Talk to you next time!
En mi último artículo les comenté que me había comprado una faja moldeadora de compresión, para delinear mi figura y reducir esos rollitos que tanto me caen gordos.
Bueno pues ahora me he puesto la faja y tengo que decir Wow! que cambio. Me redució 3 tallas.
Having spent much of yesterday watching the markets ‘bleed out' - anyone brave enough for a bargain? - I wish I'd never returned from our little hidey-hole on the bluffs and gullies of New Zealand west coast.
The little house on the Westhaven prairie
Suicidal bankers (and the rest of us, for that matter) might want to consider the charms of a billet like this, which is a converted sheep-shearing shed which the owners of the farm rent out to holiday makers.
If I say converted, however, I mean in the most simple sense of that word. Forget a British barn-conversion, which is essentially a swish home in an old shell. This place has been ‘made comfortably habitable', rather than converted, and is all the better for that.
The ‘shed' is powered entirely by solar panels on the roof which produce enough juice to do the lights (25W bulbs max) and the ‘wireless' (the kind of old solid state thing my dad used to listen to the ‘third programme' on) but nothing else.
I only made the mistake of switching on the radio once and after hearing the first slew of financial Armageddon headlines, quickly switched off. Information is power, but when you're on a hillside miles from anywhere (or a telephone line to your broker) it actually breeds a terrible sense of powerlessness. Better to shut up shop and enjoy the view.
Running the place was part of the fun. It was only on the second night, when the hot water ran out, that I twigged that the hot water tank in the bathroom was powered by the coal-fired range in the sitting room - what Kiwis call a ‘wetback'.
The last time I saw such a beast was in the local settlers' museum at Rockville (seriously) which has a mock-up turn-of-the-(20th) century kitchen, as used by the Europeans who first came to this part of the world prospecting for gold and coal.
After a lengthy consultation with the instructions, I spent most of the following morning being gently mocked by my wife for being a hopeless ‘frontiersman' as I shovelled coal into the range which, when it finally got going, did bring the water close to boiling point. If the weather had been slightly kinder, I'd have wasted some of it filling up the bush bath.
Anyone for a bath?
So there we were, isolated from all the world, dashing out for walks along the cliff-tops in between the fierce squalls that lashing down the valley. It really was a kind of heaven.
At night, the winds picked up, rocking the shed with bruising gusts that caused the clapboard walls to creak, the kids' bedroom windows to rattle and the range's tin chimney to whistle eerie tunes. It was like being caught in a storm in the cabin of a three-masted Spanish galleon.
I've been lucky to travel to a lot of places round the world and enjoy a wide variety of holiday experiences, from the plushest to roughest, but nothing quite compares to an authentic Kiwi bach. It still has something of the frontier about it.
